All the YR20 principals had at least 20 years experience each when the company was founded. That was 10 years ago and we're all still here as working engineers.

YR20's FastL2 products and services are used to rapid-deploy Ethernet circuits across the public Internet.

Important GPL Information
YR20 systems use open source software. This software has been released by the copyright owners using the Gnu Public License, usually known as the "GPL".

YR20 systems are generally provided to customers on a service basis. Some people argue that this does not constitute "distribution" of the systems as defined in the GPL. However, to be fully compliant with both the spirit and the letter of the GPL, YR20 makes the following information available:

  • The GPL was developed by Richard Stallman and is published by the Free Software Foundation: http://www.fsf.org
  • The GPL itself can be viewed or downloaded from: http://www.fsf.org/licensing/licenses/gpl.html
  • The principal GPL components that YR20 uses are:
    • The Gnu/Linux Operating System Kernel.
    • The Gnu glibc Operating System API Library.
    • The multitude of applications, utilities and shells that are distributed as a packaged "Linux" system.

YR20 systems are based on the RedHat Fedora Linux distribution from: fedora.redhat.com and use the RedHat Package Manager (RPM) software management system.

If you have a YR20 product on a purchase or service basis and want to exercise your GPL rights then please contact us at techreq@yr20.com.
